Fairtrade Friends at the Christmas Fayre

Fairtrade Friends at the Christmas Fayre

9th December 2011

To promote Fairtrade we ran a Fairtrade stall and a find the Fairtrade logo lucky dip at the Christmas Fayre.  We also set up an informative display board to inform our customers about Fairtrade.

On the stall we sold items that were purchased on ‘sale or return’ from the Fairtrade shop ‘Fairdo’s’ in Cardiff.  We also sold biscuits that we had made and decorated using Fairtrade products.

The prizes in the lucky dip if you found a Fairtrade logo was a bar of Fairtrade chocolate.

We also asked the PTA to sell Fairtrade tea, coffee and biscuits on the refreshments stall and Fairtrade fruit was used for the chocolate fountain.

Fairtrade Stall

We sold a variety of items from ‘Fairdo’s’ in Cardiff including Christmas tree decorations, small toys, purses, jewellery, friendship bracelets, chocolate and snack bars

Fairtrade Display

We set up a Fairtrade display to inform any customers to our stall about Fairtrade.

Fairtrade Biscuits

We made biscuits using Fairtrade sugar.  We then used Fairtrade chocolate or icing sugar to decorate them.  It was great fun and got very messy at times!

Find the Fairtrade Logo Lucky Dip.

To win a prize in the lucky dip you had to find a piece of paper which had the Fairtrade logo printed on it.  If you were successful you won a bar of Fairtrade chocolate.

Fairtrade Refreshments and Chocolate Fountain

The PTA agreed to sell Fairtrade tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits on the refreshments stall.

There was also a chocolate fountain with fruit skewers.  We tried to use as much Fairtrade fruit as possible.
